TreeViz
A Python CLI for walking directory trees that are too large or too broken for the usual tools — symlink loops, permission errors, dead links — with an interactive terminal UI.
Where else is better than a file hierarchy to test recursion on, so I wrote a walker, built a whole system around it, and kept adding stuff as I went.
What it mostly does is not fall over. A symlink pointing at its own ancestor, a directory you cannot read, a dead link — each one becomes a node in the tree rather than a traceback. Loops are caught by inode rather than by path, so two spellings of the same place do not fool it. --tui opens a Textual app that reads a directory's children only when you open it.
formatter/ writes that tree as DOT, HTML, JSON, YAML, or ASCII.
