NanoGlide

A wearable gyroscope module that turns hand tilt into drive commands for a small vehicle, sent over Bluetooth.

#embedded#arduino#hardware

A gyroscope strapped to your hand and a small car that goes where you tilt it. An MPU6050 feeds an Arduino, which works out which of five commands your hand is asking for, and one byte goes over Bluetooth to a second Arduino driving two motors through an L298.

I modelled it with a LilyPad on the hand and a Nano in the car.

Transmitter wiring as modelled: an Arduino LilyPad with the MPU6050 on SDA/SCL and an HC-05 on pins 10 and 11, all on 5V.

Receiver wiring as modelled: a Genuino Nano taking the HC-05 on pins 10 and 11 and driving an L298 motor driver on D2 to D5, with a motor on each output pair.

What I built used a Nano on the hand and an Uno in the car.
